Scent
Stirling’s first original scent in quite some time, Varen was a project two years in the making. It was originally made for a Dutch wet-shaving forum, so Stirling gave it the name Varen, the Dutch word for “fern”. This natural fougere is a powerful blend of oakmoss, lavender, coumarin, vetiver, sage, cedar, lichen, and geranium.

WARNING: DO NOT USE due to the oakmoss content if you are pregnant or have epilepsy.

Ingredients
Mutton Tallow, Stearic Acid, Distilled Water, Castor Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Vegetable Glycerin, Essential/Fragrance Oil Blend, Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Milk, Lanolin, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate.

Purchased soap, splash & balm about 2 years ago. Nice enough but didn’t jump out for any particular reason. Revisited again recently and, as is often the case when something’s left for a while, liked it moreso. So I got the EDT. Not over the top. Gentlemanly.
